OAAS Board Restructuring
The District 5 Spring meeting was held April 30, 2016, and graciously hosted by the Orillia & District Agricultural Society. This is always a wonderful opportunity to meet with other fairs and have an update on everything that has happened since the Annual meeting in the fall.
The main focus this year for all districts is the restructuring of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (O.A.A.S.). board. Below you will find the presentation which was presented at this spring meeting, including the OAAS updates (Board Restructuring, Q&A from Convention Regarding Restructuring , Benefits of Being an OAAS Member, New office Manager, OAAS Competition Change) and the Constitution/Policy Guidelines Updates and Discussion.
District 5 Ambassador Competition
At the OAAS District #5 Spring Meeting held on April 30,2016 in Orillia, Meghan Somerville and Matt Garwood put forth a Ambassador Competition proposal, which would be another avenue for Ambassadors to practice for the CNE. Below you will find a copy of their proposal. At the Spring Meeting, the District #5 Executive, Meghan Somerville and Matt Garwood were looking to see if fairs would be interested or not. This was an information session. This program would not start until 2017 depending on the vote at the OAAS District #5 Annual Meeting on Oct. 29, 2016 which is being hosted by Sutton Agricultural Society. If you have any comments regarding this program, please contact email@example.com
Jennipher Kean, Associate Agricultural Director is the OAAS representative on the CNE Board.
